Calaway Park

32 Family-friendly rides! High-energy entertainment! Tempting treats! Calaway Park has something for everyone! As Western Canada’s Largest Outdoor Family Amusement Park, Calaway Park has been offering affordable, family- friendly fun and entertainment for over three decades. Ever since our award-winning theme park first opened its doors in 1982, Calaway Park has built on our well-deserved reputation for excellence by offering the best attractions, no less than 32 rides designed for thrill-seekers of all ages and beautifully choreographed, high-energy entertainment.

WinSport – Canada Olympic Park

As one of the key venues of the 1988 Winter Olympic Games, visitors can take in, year-round, the rich history of the WinSport – Canada Olympic Park’s facilities while also seeing how it has evolved into a world-class training mecca for athletes from around the world. In summer, ride their zipline, or jump into a bobsleigh with a professional pilot where you’ll hit up to 80 km/h riding down the historical track. Summer activities also include mountain biking lessons and trails as well as a family-friendly 18-hole mini-golf course. In winter, build ski and snowboard skills before heading to the mountains or enjoy an outing at our snow tube park.

Calgary River Experience

Embark on Calgary’s only guided river and experience the view downtown Calgary from the original highway, The Bow River. There are lots of amazing architecture in Calgary, old and new bridges, as well as new and historic office and residential high-rises which you have the opportunity to see as you float down the river. It is a view of the inner city that even long-time residents of Calgary have never experienced. The trips start by Pump House Theater and end at Pearce Estates Park.

Calgary Zoo

Experience over 900 animals, representing more than 120 species from five continents! You’ll love knowing that every visit helps protect endangered animals, both at the zoo and in the wild. The 120-acre zoo is organized by distinct zones: Canadian Wilds, Destination Africa, Land of Lemurs, Penguin Plunge, Dorothy Harvie Botanical Gardens and ENMAX Conservatory (including the butterfly garden), Eurasia, and Prehistoric Park.

TELUS Spark Science Centre

TELUS Spark Science Centre is a space for people of all ages and abilities to let go and embrace the desire to explore and get closer to science, technology, engineering, art, and math. TELUS Spark is Calgary’s Science Centre. Exhibits and programs ignite a sense of wonder and excitement. It is a registered charity, and every dollar you donate empowers a child, a student, a parent, or a new Canadian to discover a world inspired by curiosity. Visitors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Axe Games Calgary

Axe Games Calgary aims to revive the heritage sport of axe throwing in a friendly and inviting environment. Try out axe throwing, whether it’s a casual night out with friends or a large corporate function. No experience is necessary as trained Axe Games staff can teach you how to throw, and coach you along the way. Staff members also facilitate a structured, tournament-style, scored match for players ages 12 and up. It’s a great way to learn a new skill, challenge yourself and have some fun with friends and family.

The Rec Room Calgary

The Rec Room Calgary is the place to let go, be playful and experience something new and exciting. They’re Canada’s premier “eats & entertainment” hot spot, and they’ve taken Calgary by storm. With Canadian-inspired cuisine, virtual gaming, video & redemption games, live entertainment, and more, The Rec Room is the ultimate gathering place to grab a pint, host an event, or just play. It’s time to experience your go-to social playground in Calgary!

The Hangar Flight Museum

The Hangar Flight Museum is located just south of the Calgary International Airport. Built in 1941, it was the drill hall for the #37 Secondary Flight Training School. The Museum features a wide variety of civilian and military aircraft spanning the entire century of Canadian flight. The Museum also contains exhibits, uniforms, scale models, special events, over 20 aircraft, and allows guests to experience the history of Western Canadian aviation up close.

Cobb’s Adventure Park

Alberta’s ONLY kangaroo petting zoo! They’ve also got alpacas, sheep, goats, ducks, and reptiles. On top of that they’ve got a bunch of other activities that will keep you busy all day. Try their Tractor Ride, Archery Targets, Fence Maze, Pedal Karts, Giant Games, Giant Slides, Bean Bag and Skills Arcade, and more! They’ve even got food trucks to keep you full of energy – everything from burgers to the best poutine in the world, to mini donuts, ice cream, cotton candy, homemade fudge and more.

B-LINE Indoor Bike Park

B-LINE Indoor Bike Park is Western Canada’s largest indoor bike facility. There’s terrain for every level, from the beginner to the expert, and they have many sizes of rental bikes available. Like ski hills, the areas are marked with green circles, blue squares and black diamonds to show difficulty. The beginner area is a great place for kids on run bikes, or to warm up your muscles before moving on. They have lockers in a change room (bring your own lock), and a large area with many picnic tables.
