Werklund Centre

The Werklund Centre (formerly Arts Commons) is the vibrant heart of Calgary’s cultural district. Spanning a full city block, this premier performing arts complex is home to six resident companies, including the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and Theatre Calgary. It features world-class venues, most notably the Jack Singer Concert Hall, renowned for its stunning acoustics. Recently renamed following a historic donation from the Werklund family, the centre is embarking on a major campus transformation and expansion. Beyond live performances, it offers public art galleries and extensive community engagement programs.
