Jackpine Paddle
Jackpine Paddle completely redefines the traditional canoe trip by offering exceptional adventures on the East Arm of Great Slave Lake—the deepest lake in North America. Far from standard cottage country, this specialized outfitter plunges travelers into a striking subarctic wilderness edged by billion-year-old granite cliffs dropping 180 meters into crystal-clear waters.
Their flagship offering is a 12-day guided expedition at the gateway of Thaidene Nëné (“The Lands of the Ancestors”), one of Canada’s newest national parks. This journey combines open-water paddling, wildlife viewing (muskox, moose), and cultural immersion with the Dënesųłıné people. Jackpine Paddle also offers shorter 3- to 5-day guided trips, winter hikes, and full expedition-grade gear rentals for self-guided adventurers.
