L’UniThéâtre

L’UniThéâtre is Alberta’s only professional Francophone theatre company, born from the merger of two historic Edmonton troupes. Located in the heart of the French quarter within La Cité francophone, it offers a diverse programming  including professional productions, community theatre, and TYA shows. The organization plays a key role in preserving French language and culture through the performing arts. Using an inclusive approach, L’UniThéâtre frequently provides English surtitles for its performances, allowing it to share the vitality of Franco-Albertan creative work with a broader audience while maintaining deep local roots. Many of its activities focus on community engagement and artistic development within the region.
