Syncrude Giants of Mining Exhibit

On site at the Syncrude Canada Ltd., Giants of Mining Exhibit are two decommissioned machines, marking histroy in mining. This free, self-guided tour lets you get a close up look at some of the early equipment involved in the harvesting of Alberta’s oil sands. The massive bucketwheel reclaimer and dragline buckets give you a glimpse into the history of the mining and how equipment has evolved with changes in technology.
