Out To Lunch Farmstead
Born out of a deep longing for a grounded, sustainable life, Out To Lunch Farmstead is a family farm dedicated to regenerative agriculture and soil health. Established in the spring of 2021, this passion project focuses on eco-friendly conservation and rehabilitation methods to produce high-quality food while restoring the local ecosystem. By regularly rotating livestock to fresh pastures, the farm prevents overgrazing, boosts biodiversity, and naturally enriches the soil. Specializing in grass-finished lamb and organically fed pastured poultry, this welcoming farmstead offers a direct connection to your food source. It is the perfect stop for anyone looking to support local producers, learn about sustainable living, and stock up on wholesome, nutrient-rich foods.
What they Grow and Produce: In addition to premium lamb and poultry (chicken and turkey), the farm produces small-batch eggs, honey, garlic, root vegetables, jams, chutneys, dog treats, and handcrafted soaps. Seasonal berry U-pick is also available during the summer months.
Meat Sales and Ordering: Meats are typically sold frozen and processed under government inspection or in accordance with Alberta’s On-Farm Slaughter regulations. Whole lamb orders (cut to your preference) and poultry orders require a deposit and advance confirmation. Fresh meat orders must be picked up directly from the farm on processing day.
Upcoming Accommodations and Events: Keep an eye on their social media channels for the launch of on-site accommodations, including distinct wilderness cabins, tenting areas, and RV sites. Educational workshops covering wildcrafting, hide tanning, beekeeping, and artisan cheese, sausage, or soap making are also coming soon.
